Add Local Delivery to your Order Confirmation EmailsOrder Confirmation Emails If you would like to add the delivery date and time to order confirmation emails that are sent out to customers; From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications In the Customer Notifications section click Order confirmation Then in the email body section, you can add the delivery/pick date and time code. Exact placement isn't critical but some users typically add it after the Shipping method block.

Changing ThemesWhen changing themes on your Shopify store, you will need to re-add any apps on to your new theme. Adding the Local Delivery app to a theme can be done while the theme is either published (live) or unpublished. If you have any trouble changing themes using the instructions, with either the app not working, or not appearing, or not looking the way you want it on your theme, we are always happy to assist!

Delivery OffsetLocal Delivery enables you to set a minimum amount of time between ordering and when customers can schedule their deliveries. You can set this up using our delivery offset feature! When you are creating your delivery hours for each of your delivery areas you will see the option to set a "cutoff". If you click on this field a time selector will pop up. Here you can select if you would like to a cutoff orders for the delivery slot a few hours/minutes before the slot begins.

Manually Adding Dates to OrdersWhen you create a draft order manually in your store, the order will not have a local delivery date and time for delivery. If you need to add a delivery date and time to your manually created order, you can do so after the order has been "Marked as paid". Note you can also use these steps to add date to or edit any of your orders in your store, provided they were created (either manually or via your storefront) in the past 60 days

Optional Step - Product Available for Local DeliveryModify product.liquid This is an optional step which adds text to your product page "This product is available for local delivery". If you don't need that, you can skip this step! When the app is installed, a liquid snippet called snippet-local-delivery-product.liquid is installed in your current shop theme. This snippet displays on each product page indicating if local delivery is available for the particular product. To activate the snippet, include it in Templates/product.

Shipping/Pickup RatesLocal Delivery allows you to set up a shipping rate for each of your different delivery areas. You will need to have Shopify's "real time carrier shipping" feature installed on your store to use shipping rates. You can contact support@shopify.com for more information about this feature. Head to your delivery areas settings and you will see the "shipping rates" option. Here you can set up the shipping rate name, and price that will appear at the checkout for your customers when they place their orders (see screenshot below).
