Manually Adding Dates to Orders

When you create a draft order manually in your store, the order will not have a local delivery date and time for delivery. If you need to add a delivery date and time to your manually created order, you can do so after the order has been "Marked as paid". 

Note you can also use these steps to add date to or edit any of your orders in your store, provided they were created (either manually or via your storefront) in the past 60 days

To manually create an order and add a delivery date, please follow the steps below:

  1. Create a new Draft order
  2. Make sure your draft order is 'Marked as paid'
  3. Click the "More actions" link and click the Local Delivery link
  4. Edit and save the date and time in the Local Delivery app
  5. View your order in the calendar

To manually add or edit a date and time to an existing order (that was created in the past 60 days) please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your shopify Admin "Orders" page
  2. Find the order you want to edit and click it to go into order details page
  3. Click the "More actions" link and click the Local Delivery link
  4. Edit and save the date and time
  5. View your order in the calendar

2. Make sure your draft order is 'Marked as paid'

The order needs to be 'Marked as paid', before you can add a delivery date to the order, as it is not assigned an 'order number' until this step is complete. In the same guide, make sure you have set the order 'Marked as paid'. Shopify Accept Payment Help

3. Click the "More actions" link

Once the order is created, up the top of the order, under the order number, click on the "More actions" link to get the dropdown. Then click on the Local Delivery link to add a date and time to the order. A new tab will be opened in your browser and you will be taken to the Local Delivery app.

4. Edit and save the date and time in the Local Delivery app.

Using the date and time pickers, set a date and time for your order. Then click "Save".

5. View your order in the calendar

The date and time is now saved to the order and into the Pending Deliveries and the Delivery Calendar. If you want to view the new delivery date in the calendar, click on the "Delivery Calendar" link in the left hand side menu of the app.
