OS 2.0 Install Instructions

These instructions are for OS 2.0 themes only. If you don't know what version your theme is, please follow the Work out your theme version (OS 1.0, or OS 2.0) guide first. 

When installing the app on your 2.0 theme, all the themes are slightly different. If you have any trouble following this install guide, such as you can't find the right page, or one of the instructions is not clear on your theme. Or if the app is not appearing, or not being placed in the spot that you want it, please contact us at support@local-delivery.net and we will be very happy to assist! Let us know the problem you are having and we can send through instructions, or we can jump on to your store and install the app for you. 

These instructions were made while using the Shopify "Dawn" theme. 

Before you begin, you must have at least 1 product created in your store in order to add the app on your cart page. This guide assumes you already have at least 1 product in your store. If you don't have a product in your store yet, please create one, and then come back. 

To add the app to your cart page, first go to your Shopify Admin, and click "Online Store" from the left hand menu.

 Click "Customize" on your theme

At the top of the page, click the page select dropdown, and scroll down to choose "Products" and then "Default product"

Add a product to the cart

Again click the page select dropdown, and scroll down to choose "Cart" to go to your cart page

Now to add the app, in the left hand menu click "Add section"

 Scroll to the bottom on the selection, and under the Apps section choose the "Local Delivery" app.

 To move the app, you click and drag the move icon in on the Local Delivery line.

 Click and drag the app to the position you want it. A good position is above the subtotal.

 Troubleshooting app position:

Not dragging at all: If you are clicking and dragging and the app is not moving, you could be clicking on the wrong drag icon. Sometimes you may need to click the "App Block" line move icon instead, depending on your theme. Or your particular theme may not allow you to move the app. If that is happening to you, please email us at support@local-delivery.net and let us know, and we can jump in and get the app positioned the way you want.

Can't get the right position: When dragging the app into position, some themes only allow you to position the app at the very bottom or very top of the cart page. If that is happening to you, please email us at support@local-delivery.net and let us know, and we can jump in and get the app positioned the way you want.

 Next, click the Local Delivery text now to edit the app settings.

 You can adjust the settings in the left hand menu, and when you are happy, make sure to click "Save". There are also a lot more settings inside the Local Delivery app in the app's left-hand menu under "Settings".

 Finally, you will need to enable the Local Delivery app's app embed feature in your theme settings. At the bottom of the left-hand menu click "Theme settings" (if you can see theme settings click the page select dropdown at the top of the page and click "Home page").

 Click the "App embeds" tab.

 Turn on the Local Delivery switch, then click "Save".
